Labyrinth by Katherine Elizabeth: Through the Looking Glass 2

My earliest memories are tactile: a scratchy-soft wool crochet blanket, crushed silk smelling of my grandmother's perfume, my mother's soft rose flannel nightgown. Years passed, and by education and training I ended up in genomics and informatics. Between classes and career I would find time to felt and embroider a bit, but it wasn't until my daughter became ill that I started to seriously work with textile mediums. Maintaining our curiosity and wonder amidst life's stresses is difficult. My art is a source of comfort, mediation, and expression though which I can explore the massive, minuscule, and everything between. I finally started a blog to share some of my journey, and I hope you find your time here interesting and inspiring.
